KF Ordin in 1889 published a large two-volume study "The Conquest of Finland", which on the basis of the found them, for the most part have never been printed sources, outlined the history of the conquest of Finland and Russian statements in her Russian authorities. This study was awarded the Imperial Academy of Sciences Prize of Metropolitan Macarius. "The conquest of Finland" was created as opposed to the separatist sentiments of the Finns, was intended to show how strikingly different Russian rule from the Swedish, as brought benefits, and so on.
