I have reviewed this book and is of record. It deserves more than 5 stars as it too describes the final weeks of WW II and not the greatly flawed, slanted version we see in Documentaries. My new address is L83rdinf@zbzoom.net
My summary of the Elbe Bridgehead was in error

My summary of the Elbe Bridgehead was in error. " I took a photograph on the WEST bank of the Elbe River " should have been " I took a photograph on the EAST bank of the Elbe River." Sorry about this dreadful error.
Shows the Elbe Bridgehead that documentarys ignore.

You must read the book as it documents the Elbe Bridgehead that ALL of the documentarys ignore. This was a great feat that put the Western Allies 35 miles from Berlin which could have been taken as easily as the City of Zerbst, without firing a shot. Military High Command obviously did not want to take Berlin as it was promised to the Russians. I have been pursuing the producers of the greatly flawed version of military history of WW II as the public must be made aware of the true final days of the war where we crossed the Elbe River in assault boats on Friday the 13th of April, 1945. If you purchase Conquer : Story of the Ninth Army, you will be purchasing the true version of the final end of WW II. I was in "I" Co.,3rd Bn.,329th Inf. Regt. of the 83rd Inf. Division and was there. I also took a photograph on the WEST bank of the Elbe River.
