Conor Gets My Vote

I wasn't sure what to expect when I first purchased Conor and the Crossworlds: Breaking the Barrier, but I was soon on an amazing adventure with Conor. The book starts in the middle of a battle between two fantastic creatures, with Conor on the sidelines, then flashes back to how he got there in the first place. Soon you are on a perilous, and sometimes bizarre, journey with Conor that will eventually take him from childhood--he's ten in the beginning of this story--through adolescence. I look forward to watching Conor grow and become a man, while enjoying the fantastic adventures and otherworldly creatures in this new fantasy series. Not only should it be required reading at middle schools, but it should also be made into a film. I look forward to reading the next book in the series; in fact, I will be purchasing the next book as soon as I finish typing this review.
A great fantasy-reality

Conor's struggle with the death of his uncle combined with his fantasy-reality adventures with Purugama create an incredible tale that offers 10-13 year olds some guidance as they enter their very formative teenage years. I love Purugama's patience as he leads Conor through his many quests and adventures.I shall recommend this book to middle school librarians. More, more! - really means I'm looking forward to the sequel.
