Connecting to Connections

This is a good text to use for looking at the diversity and complexity of contemporary American society. The stories are well chosen to represent the experiences of all Americans. We all came to America from somewhere else--at least as far as we know. This gives us a look at the joys, horrors and epiphanies of being Americans. It also is a great beginning text for learning how to write expository prose. It fully explains good methods for saying on paper those things that Americans need to talk about together.
