Confined, tells a story of Sandra, a quiet and lonely girl strugling with bullying, grief, emotional neglect, and being overlooked. Things starts to cange after the passing of her father, and her life changes drastically. Her once loving warm warm became a battle field, cold and controling, especially with her strict mother, while school becomes a place of fear because a group of bullies known as thr pink squad, led by Veronica.

Sandra's only source of comfort is Kyle, a kind, talkative, active and funny boy who always try to make her smile. The burden on Sandra's shoulders seems to supress her down completely, while the squad takes him away, she finds it difficult to cope no matter how hard she tries leaving her even more isolated.

Sandra's parents hire Simon, a young driver who is supposed to take her to school everyday. Instead of helping her, he adds on the bunch of problems Sandra have. He begins to manipulate and intimidate her, making her life even more stressful.

Sandra spends more of her time alone, writting, drawing and isolated. She feels trapped in her thoughts, in her home, and in her school life_Just like the title of the novel suggests.

Thin gs begins to change during a school hockey match. After being locked in the toilets by the bullies, a girl called Isabella, the captain of the opposing hockey team rescues her and gave her words of courage. She motivates her to stand up for herself and fight for her chance.

Inspired, Sandra returns to the field, plays with determination, and helps her team to recover during the match. For the first time in a long while, she feels confidence and hope again.

Although hert struggles at home ans school are far from over, she breaks down and take her life for her voice to be heard and break out of the emotional cage that has confined her life. Finally, she got all what she lost back even her life, scholarship and her friend Kyle.
