Within Dynamics 365, a product can have a code that identifies the master product, and up to four additional Product Dimensions that you can use to track product variations. The default dimensions that you can track are Configuration, Size, Color, and Style.This allows you to simplify the product master list and still track all of the different sub-products through the dimensions. You can also track the inventory separately by product dimension, and even price out the variants differently as well.
