The long falls towards grace of the former Captain Malthus, now the human Soren Marlowe, continues. If one didn't know better, you would think him an upstanding human wizard. We do know better, though, and it's disgusting to see how the humans have accepted him. Now he's gone from our deep cover spy to a full blown Wizard Corps cadet. Worse, most of them who know his true nature have accepted and, ugh, forgiven him. He's even being lauded with fame and honors that he doesn't want. Having the past of a demon and the conscience of a man is a special sort of torture. There is one familiar face who hasn't seen fit to let bygones be bygones, and she also isn't ready to quit him, either. Broken hearts are such fertile ground for resentment, and that may undo Malthus' new life without our intervention. Still, there are more immediate dangers for him to contend with. The Grim Horde is still working in the shadows, as its wayward son will soon find out...
