In Confessions of a Mafia Boss: Bloodshed on Broadway, this downtown Nashville thriller follows Red Russell, a modern-day, self-made mafia boss. He owns several businesses, one of which is the Copperhead Press in Printer's Alley. When Red discovers that one of his employees has stolen a book he printed for his private collection, he has his assistant, Caro, hide a near-invisible tracker inside the cover of a bait book titled Boswell's Barrels: Where Wood Meets Whiskey.
The GPS signal from that single book sets off a chain of events that forces Red Russell to confront the true meaning of anger, power, revenge, and terror. As someone who has long studied the lives of history's most notorious mafia leaders, he allows their stories to influence his outlook on life.
This multidirectional story is packed with Red's accomplices, who make up his Nashville mafia crew-Tauna, Thirsty, Bullet, and Newt-each managing liquor distribution to the bars along Broadway. Their operation expands into an illegal small-batch bottling enterprise that puts millions in everyone's pockets.
Red also owns a secluded cabin in Viola, Tennessee, outside McMinnville, where he crosses paths with Slim, Cooter, and The Fox-three new players who get pulled into the mix.
As Red uncovers how many people have their hands dirty in this web of crime, he realizes he has leverage over all of them-leverage he'll need to track down his stolen book.
The only innocent characters are Red's girlfriend, Elle-whom he keeps clean because she already has a target on her back simply for being his girl-and Jackson, the manager of Le Petit Chef restaurant in downtown Nashville.
