The reason is that the investors may be better guided if the direction of the market is successfully predicted. The stock market behavior is dynamic and its prediction poses a great challenge. Traditional techniques, such as fundamental and technical analysis do provide investors with some tools for manag-ing their stocks, and for predicting their price behavior. Yet the question remains as to how to design an efficient and effective tool or algorithm that will forecast the patterns of stock market price behavior with reasonable precision.
