Confederate Paper Money

I am not a collector so possibly much of the information in this book goes over my head. However I have spent hours browsing through the pages of this book looking at all the interesting images of the money. There is a good introduction also. This book is obviously a very good reference for anybody interested in Confederate currency, but it is also an entertaining browser.

a classic and useful reference

I have used this book for many years. I was surprised to find today that it has not been reviewed previously. Grover Criswell was the flamboyant promoter of Confederate money for many years. Sadly he died several years ago. This is still the standard reference and used by collectors. It includes many useful features and should be in the library of every collector.
