Best C book

Outstanding C book. Very comprehensive and written in a style that makes the materials accessable. But why would the best C book be out of print?

Best C reference book for development on UNIX

Comprehensive C is the first and only book we have time and again returned to for guidance through learning and using C. We are engineers who have transferred over from FORTRAN to produce C code on everything from UNIX machines such as IBM SP2 supercomputers to Fujitsu vector machines to LINUX parallel clusters. Even after 5 years of continuous code development, it is still one of the first books we turn to when developing, debugging or just for reference. We were deeply disappointed to find the book is no longer in print, as the few copies we have are slowly showing the test of age and use. A veritable treasure tome.
