What could a simple piece of a hand become? A rocket? A funny creature? A robot?
In Complete the Picture: 100 Imagination Drawing Challenges, children are given something unfinished and invited to decide what it becomes. A partial hand, a piece of a shoe, part of a chair, a wheel, a rooftop, an eye, or a simple line can become the beginning of an entirely new picture.
This isn't a book where every child is expected to draw the same thing.
Instead, each challenge gives children a starting point and a creative direction. They might be asked to turn something into an object they use, something that can fly, a creature, a machine, something from outer space, or something completely unexpected.
Inside, children will:
- Complete unfinished drawing fragments in their own way
- Explore different possibilities instead of searching for one right answer
- Turn familiar objects into imaginative pictures
- Follow fun creative prompts that encourage new ideas
- Experiment with characters, animals, vehicles, inventions, and imaginary worlds
- Build confidence in expressing their ideas through drawing
Some challenges may lead to a silly picture. Others may become surprisingly creative. Two children can start with exactly the same fragment and end up with completely different drawings.
That's the fun of Complete the Picture.
There are no perfect answers and no single picture you have to copy. Just a starting point, a blank space, and an invitation to imagine.
Pick up a pencil, look at the first unfinished picture, and see what you can turn it into.
