WOW!!!! Beautiful!! (...and then some!)

This book is not only asthetically pleasing, with its richly colored and textured cover and gilt pages; but each and every story reflects the wonder and imagination that draws us all to fairy tales.... Inside the Grimm's are at their finest, and pulling no punches. This may be where Disney found Cinderella, Snow White and so on - but they are NOT the watered down versions we have seen in cartoons. Must be appreciated for the purity of the stories, NOT recommended if you are looking for warm, fuzzy, cute-sy tales for the babes.

Good 'ol days

This book was amazing. It's nice to see the original tales in all their glory, not the wussed out pansy versions of today. Parents, if you TRULY love your children buy them this book now.

These are the stories in their true non-Disneyfied forms. A great collection, that I'd hold up against any other.

The Real Stories.

These stories are a must read for all children. They are magical and intelligent, as well as, harsh and dark. However, if read over a reasonable period and with adult guidance, these stories provide invaluable life lessons that are more and more absent from our modern popular and mass market stories.
