Compendium of Authentic Marian Shrines of the World Volume 4

This is the final Compendium of the Authentic Marian Shrines of the World. For the first time in the history of the Catholic Church a compendium of all the major authentic Marian shrines of the world has been published. Professor William A. Thomas from the Pontifical Marian Academy in Vatican City has completed this monumental task which includes 13 Volumes of Marian Shrines and 4 Major Compendiums of all the major Marian Shrines of the World that have the full approval of the Vatican. This work is something like the Summa Mariologica. Professor Thomas said in that it will become the official reference book for the Holy See and the various Dicasteries of the Vatican. The work is already in the Vatican Libraries and at the Secretariat of the Pontifical Marian Academy and is now being used as the official reference guide to the hundreds of authentic Marian Shrines of the World. At the launch of the work in his native Ireland, Professor Thomas stated that in the secular world of today which is overflowing with ideologies there are three major rebellions going on; (1) The open rebellion against Almighty God. (2) The open rebellion against His Sacramental Catholic Church and (3) The open rebellion against reason itself. People have not become more intelligent or more devout in the past 60 years, in fact it is quite the opposite and one of the reasons is that they have abandoned all Marian devotion, especially the daily recitation of the Holy Rosary, through which abundant graces are given, Thomas said with passion. Quoting from one of his 40 published books he said that in the Fatima message of 1917, the Blessed Virgin Mary stated that 'God wishes to make me known and loved' this means that we must use our intelligence in order to know who this great Queen of Heaven is, he continued, and Her role in the salvation of souls as Co-Redemptrix and Mother of the Church. One of the main reasons why I wrote this work, Thomas said, is because there are so many false Marian devotions and Shrines, some even belong to private people, others to the Mafia and other to dubious sects and organizations. People are being misled by doom and gloom so called prophecies while alleged seer's make millions of dollars at the expense of the poor people. There is no longer any excuse for people who chose to visit a false Marian Shrine or an unapproved Shrine, said Professor Thomas as he concluded his talk, while stating that the work took him 7 years to complete.
