In our everyday life we use to practice and follow several kinds of acts, duties, customs and traditions and so on. All these things determine the religion. It can be said that religion is nothing but our way of life. Its focus area is how we live our life, what customs, traditions and practices we follow, what is our way of worshipping and the like. All these factors define the Religion. Generally, one uses to determine one's religion based on above mentioned things, however one consider this as the most appropriate definition of Religion? Indeed, we cannot say this with certainty that these are the only aspects of Religion. By virtue of this, different people, philosophers, theologists and learned scholars have defined the term 'Religion' in different ways. According to Augustine, who is a well-known Christian theologian while discussing about the nature of time said, "If you do not ask me what time is, I know; if you ask me I do not know."1 Similar is the case with Religion as almost everyone knows about what religion is, still if asked to describe no one can define it aptly. It can be said that religion is nothing but our way of life. In other words, it is described as an art of living through right actions. Religion is a representation of evolution in human beings which finally achieves the fulfillment of evolution and its union with the Supreme Deity. Religion is considered as man's attitude towards Reality which is to be regarded as trans-human or something that is more than a man. One can hardly witness any race or any people which is devoid of the sense of religion in some form or other. An important factor of the religious consciousness in almost all the initial phases of development is the sense of awe and mystic fear. It is the sense of fear which has induced the actions of our ancestors to worship higher powers and offer sacrifices to them. And these higher powers are propitiated in order that they may not do any harm to those people who used to worship them. We do not know about the real.
