Comparative study of job participation and occupational stress in terms of certain variables between TAT and non-HTAT principals

Introduction The existence of entire human being is concerned with work. Since its existence on the earth, human being has remained continuously engaged with one or other activity. Earlier, there wasn‟t any significant difference in the life style and work style of human being. With the passage of time, many changes were found in them. Along with activities, the objectives of the activities have also changed because activity is the characteristic of life. In short, human being is closely connected with work. This relation is of great importance as work itself is an essential part of one‟s life. Considering the present time, it can be said that work is worship and work is life. Education is the basic need of any society. The development of self and the society is not possible in the absence of appropriate education. The present era is the era of formal education. Formal education has four important components namely (1) Student (2) Teacher (3) Management Committee and (4) Government. Teacher is the essential part of school education. Teacher has a great impression on students. Students are the upcoming citizens of the society. Their concrete and civilized personality chiefly relies on teachers‟ vigorous behaviour. Principal‟s status is equally important for school development and quality education. If the principal himself / herself suffers from constant stress and dissatisfaction, he / she won‟t get indulged properly in his / her work. The principal having less stress can perform his / her responsibilities healthily and can involve himself / herself properly in his / her work. Even though, India is considered as a developing country at an international level, we need to accept the reality that compared to increasing population; we have lagged behind in quality education. Our country will never make progress only by imparting degree oriented education. We need to impart skill based education. Our
