This book presents the multiple and multifaceted challenges of the community-based epidemiological surveillance system, whose weakness remains a major public health problem. In the field, the surveillance system encounters organizational and community difficulties. It is not uncommon to see a drop in the level of staff involvement in epidemiological surveillance activities. This is why the various evaluation reports highlight the problem of community participation and the failure to respect the principles of promptness and completeness in the transmission of data collection forms.
