Communication in LIBRAS as a possibility for health care

This is a descriptive study, which aims to analyse how the communication process occurs in the care between nurses and deaf and hearing-impaired people, recommending observations about the reality studied. In this work the author discusses the negative feelings about the care provided to deaf patients, in the light of the Analysis of.Michel P cheux's Discourse Analysis, which seeks to understand the conditions in which discourses are produced. It suggests recommendations to develop improvements in governmental actions in the area of health regarding the deaf, in addition to providing nurses with useful tools for the elaboration of.intervention programmes and communication strategies using Sign Language. And finally, that it is taken as a vehicle for the transmission of information and communication by the actors involved in this process.
