Nicky works as a self taught dog behavouralist in Bedale, North Yorkshire. Seeing hundreds of dogs she has been able to developed and fine tune her own unique techniques.

She utilises a wide spectrum of tools available to communicate a complete message - that includes saying "yes please" and "no thank you". She believes if positive reinforcement is used as a single tool ("yes please" only), then your dog might only be getting half of the instructions. Her methods promote equaling and mirroring a dog's energy, but never to use anger or dominant submission as part of the conversation.

The Yorkshire Dog Whisperer has discovered in order to communicate a complete message you need to use treats as a reward, combined with your energy to agree/disagree with your dog, and in some cases provide a short term consequence.
