Lowell "Duke" Embs was a top salesman for one of the largest insurance companies in America--Connecticut Mutual. In 1981 his superiors confronted him and told him that they wanted him to resign--after 26 years of excellent sales history--before retirement.When he refused, the company began a series of incarcerations, using the mental health industry to intimidate and coerce Mr. Embs into submission. He was beaten several times and his ribs were broken twice.
