My present commentary is not especially sophisticated, there are no elaborate theological systems of grand eloquence. It is not a book written with words that only theologians understand, if they really do indeed understand what one another says. The thrust of the message is devotional, although being a teacher at heart there are long sections of explanation and exploration. The book, is essentially the product of one who has long struggled with his own faith and thought perhaps some of my understandings might have relevance for others who also wonder what it is we believe and why Romans has any relevance for modern faith.
