The Lord's call is the highest honor one can ever receive. It is a summons of the HIGHEST KING. The shadows of this realm can cause us (if we are not keen) to see it as the opposite. Yet- If one takes a posture of inquiry and presses into scripture- We see that He does not call men to rubbish our lives. Rather- He calls us to journey with Him into discovery and sacrifice that will bring us into a reward that even death, when compared to the Promise is but "light affliction." (2nd Corinthians 4:17). He does not deny the weight of the cross we are asked to make a choice and take up and carry- But, compared to being shown those "great and mighty things which we do not know" Do you not think it worth it? When doubt tries to speak, I ask- What did those before me see? That in the face of furnace, tip of swords and the tide of death they were unshaken? Knowing those were mere transition points to victory they remained resolute to attain. I also want to see And so...I follow. The Lord calls you too. Will you not answer? Count the cost.
