An excellent collection of short episodes that depict the Spirit of God working in people in enery day life. The gift of love and joy that people can give to one another even in times of hardship is the rainbow of life. It is the Spirit of God working in and through people giving and receiving random acts of kindness.

A breath of fresh air from a spiritual woman!

Sr. Dorothy captures the meaning of celebrating life through living the Gospel. Her stories are vividly shared which allow the reader to experience her colorful life! It's a true delight. I especially love the colorful poetry!

lighthearted, inspiring, and a great gift for a friend

This book is a very joyful look at the impact our interactions have on the lives of others. In many ways, it reminds me of "It's a Wonderful Life", in the sense that we touch and change the lives of those we meet in ways we may have never dreamed. It is an inspiration and calling to reach out to others in a loving way, and encourages you to notice the colors of life that have become drab with the stress of day to day tasks. It is hard for me to put into words how impressed I am with the writing style of Dorothy Ederer. She has a very special gift of telling stories of experiences in her life and the life of others that have hidden within them profound spiritual truths. I was completely captivated by this book and couldn't put it down. For the past 10 years I have confined my reading to spiritual books, books authored by some of the great Christian writers of the past and those of modern times. In my opinion, Colors of the Spirit is one of the very best spiritual books I have read in recent years. It's message is simple and at the same time profound. I intend to read it again if I can get my wife to part with it. Buy it, you will love it.
