"Colors are the music of the eyes"

I have never seen more vivid, stimulating art in such a small book. The works are 19th-20th century masterpieces, some more popular than others. The mix gives you the sense of delighted discovery when you run across the works by lesser-known artists, portrayed and set so beautifully. In every respect, it's a treasure for the artistic child within all of us. I find it's even inspirational as a pallete to color my entire world. I can't say enough about the production of this jewel of a book. Houston's Museum of Fine Art outdid itself on this one, and Italy's Arti Grafiche Amicare Pizzi is a publisher worth collecting. I could only give this book up a-la-Charlton Heston - from my lifeless hands. A sheer fluke put it into my hands, and it feels like a faerie gift!
