I don't like reviews that say they hate something without backing it up with examples. I enjoyed this book very much because: 1) Even though both characters admitted to loving one another, it wasn't enough 2) It dealt with the age-old problem of women trying to make it on their own for their accomplishments but not given credit because they're 'just a woman' 3)The compromise and love they shared overcame all the concerns Carrie had 4) and the realization that Lucas would do anything to have Carrie as his wife was an about face for him. It was a romantic tale that left me feeling warm all over when I finished the book because it was based on more than just they found each other attractive and 'couldn't help themselves'. It was a romantic tale with a touch of realism that made the story more believable and likeable. I also enjoyed the interaction of the secondary characters as well. I've read and own just about everything Leigh Greenwood has written and he hasn't disappointed me yet.
