A cheap horror knockoff of an earlier mostly German movie.

Based on a novel by H.P. Lovecraft. This is a standard blood and guts movie. It spends more time on graphics than it does on any plot or plot twists. A meteorite lands on a farm. Nathan Gardner (Nicolas Cage) and his family must battle an extraterrestrial organism as it infects their minds and bodies. Now ever since “The Blob” (1958), everyone should know not to touch it. A movie with more of an H.P. Lovecraft feel would be “Cthulhu” (2007).
