The concept of the book is great. One color relies on the surrounding colors to compete for a view or feel.
However, the only color in the book on color is a few plates in the back.
The theory is great, but you have to do the imagining as the descriptions, diagrams, and concepts are in black and white.
If you are used to electronics as a T.V., you have to get used to the secondary colors being used as reflective primary colors.
If you do take the time to read the book, you will soon glean some useful color theory.
