Several decades ago, I was scheduled to take the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT), which had a section on physics. At the time of the test, I had yet to take college-level physics so I had to prepare on my own. To do this, I purchase the three-volume set "Understanding Physics" by Isaac Asimov and the "Schaum's Outline of College Physics." After reading the three books in the Asimov set, I slogged through the problems in this book. Working slowly and doing only a few problems each and every day, I completed the book and then did comparatively well on the physics section of the MCAT. This is not a book where you can learn physics by using it alone; however, with other more descriptive material as the base; it is an excellent way to learn how the theoretical formulas are applied to the physical world. This book has no equal as a supplemental text in basic college physics.
