Very excellent layout

I like the use of color to demonstrate steps. Still contains too many unrelated blah sections, but does a decent job of organizing sections and teaching the math.

good cheap alternative

Exactly the same as the hard cover version and is basically half the price. deff worth the money compared to a hardcover unless you want it to last then I would suggest you get the hardcover cuz these books wont last that long compared to a hardcover.

Clear and Easy to Understand

This textbook is one of the best I've used. The mathematical procedures and examples are clearly explained, written in two columns. The left column describes the procedure in plain english, while the left column is the math. Color is used effectively, highlighting the important information. Each chapter ends with a couple pages of review, where each section is listed with the important topics and key concepts and formulas for that section.
