Unusual Collections

Well worth a look for art and design lovers. Personal collections shown in the owners' homes. Featured are homes full of Rodin sculpture, Imperial Russian art, Pre-Columbian art, and Modern art, not to mention a Greenwich Village apartment with Beidermeier furniture and a home decorated with authentic Early American. And so, so much more. Of course, each home is accompanied by a detailed essay. The book is from 1982, but still so relevant for art, history, and design lovers.
