A preeminent statesman, strategist, literary figure, and calligrapher of the late Eastern Han dynasty, he is recognized as the founder of the Cao Wei regime during the Three Kingdoms period. Posthumously honored with the title King Wu (Martial King), he was later elevated to Emperor Wu (Martial Emperor) by his son Cao Pi after the latter ascended the throne, and was given the temple name Taizu (Grand Progenitor). 曹操（155－220），字孟德，沛国谯县（今安徽亳州）人。东汉末年杰出的政治家、军事家、文学家、书法家，三国曹魏政权的奠基人。去世后谥号为武王。其子曹丕称帝后，追尊为武皇帝，庙号太祖。
