I remember when the murders happened and when the trial started. I lived 5 minutes from home and would rush from home to catch it at lunchtime i then refusing overtime to go home to watch it. Some participants agreed to talk with police and the
interviews are detailed verbatim.
The author has a unique way of writing--he talks about Ferrel and his followers, law enforcement as well as various mental health experts who differ about the state of mind of the crew .especially Rod's I knew the story, but learned A LOT about Rod's twisted view and those of his and his cohorts. Reading interviews shed a whole different lite on things and all I am going to say is someone got away with murder.
Highly recommend this book even if you have no idea who Red Ferrel is.
