Cognitively Unwell is not a recovery story or a self-help book that promise everything will fix itself. Instead, it focuses on what daily life feels like when you are getting by, using all your coping skills, and are still not okay. It is aimed at people who already get the therapy talk, who have put in the effort to work through things, and are tired of hearing that they should be feeling better by now. It is about the time after the worst is over, nothing major is crashing down anymore, but the damage hangs around in ways that do not go away. It's anxiety, trauma, burnout, and what it costs to keep pushing forward anyway.
