In this book, we have attempted to address fundamental and broad topics related to cognition, helping readers understand artificial intelligence, cognition, the philosophy of mind, cognitive biases, logical fallacies, cognitive warfare, and the role of artificial intelligence in cognitive domains. We have explored cognitive warfare from two perspectives.
The first perspective involves cognitive warfare as the application of cognitive sciences in military contexts, constituting only a minor aspect of this concept. The second, more critical perspective considers cognitive warfare as a comprehensive domain.
In this book, we have endeavored to localize theories, frameworks, and models within social and military fields from a cognitive approach. Another focus of the authors has been differentiating cognitive warfare from other non-kinetic forms of warfare, such as informational, cyber, psychological, cultural, ideological, and media warfare. This differentiation can significantly aid in effectively recognizing and devising strategies to counteract such types of conflicts.
