I have found a little pirate, my nephew Lucas. Lucas, at his short age of 5, sees the world through a chain of pirate episodes. His creativity and imagination is so that from a simple object he can create a detailed story. His characters and situations are so exciting that I have taken him as the protagonist of this collection of short stories for kids who dream with life on sea. These stories intertwine the present and the past as part of the art proposal "Todos Somos Piratas". My goal is to work the topics with the interests of kids, adjusting them to their fantasies and necessities. I want to introduce literacy using pirate tales, develop creativity and imagination through the fantasy of the drawings and the magic of the stories. Expect them to learn, respect and appraise other lifestyles though the stories and last, but not least, explore Caribbean pirate history, their way of living, their adventures and traditions. The most important concepts developed in the stories are: different vessels, authentic and fictional pirates, sites and oceans, family relations and the difference between realism and fantasy. Su creatividad e imaginacin estn sobre lo esperado para un chico de su edad. Sus personajes, barcos y situaciones son tan intensas que le he tomado como protagonista de las aventuras de un nio pirata, una coleccin de cuentos cortos para nios que suean con la vida en los mares del Caribe.Los cuentos entrelazan el presente de los nios con las aventuras en siglos pasados como parte de la propuesta artstica "Todos Somos Piratas". Mi objetivo es trabajar los temas partiendo de los propios intereses de los nios, ajustndolos a sus fantasas y necesidades. Desarrollar la iniciacin a la lectoescritura a travs de los cuentos de piratas. Desarrollar la imaginacin y creatividad por medio de la fantasa de mis dibujos y la magia que se transmite en los cuentos. Respetar, conocer y valorar otras formas de vida a travs de los cuentos. Conocer la historia de los piratas del Caribe, su forma de vivir, sus aventuras y costumbres.En los cuentos se desarrollan conceptos tales como: diferentes tipos de embarcaciones, piratas autnticos y recreados, los mares y lugares de la tierra, la familia y la discriminacin entre lo real y lo fantasioso entre otros.Bienvenidos a las aventuras de nio pirata!
