Coffee with Colleen Volume One Short Stories and Newspaper Articles spanning my writing career

By Colleen Baxter Sullivan

What if the most unforgettable stories are the ones hidden inside ordinary moments?

Pour yourself a cup of coffee and settle in with Colleen Baxter Sullivan for a collection filled with love, laughter, heartbreak, memories, and the unexpected connections that shape a lifetime.

In Coffee with Colleen: Volume One, fiction and nonfiction come together in a heartfelt collection of short stories and writings spanning the author's career. From the snowy streets of Montreal to quiet family homes, childhood neighborhoods, wartime memories, and chance encounters with unforgettable people, each piece offers a reminder that even seemingly simple moments can leave a lasting mark.

Meet an elderly war bride who still dances in the snow for the man she loved. Discover an artist who turns unimaginable grief into a world of color. Follow a childhood friendship that grows from judgment into compassion. Witness a mother's desperate hope for her sick daughter, a lost love given an extraordinary second chance, a grandfather who expresses through art what he could never say aloud, and a woman who discovers that motherhood can exist in the heart as powerfully as it does through birth.

Some stories will make you smile. Others may bring tears. Many invite you to look again at the people, memories, and small miracles that surround everyday life.

At its heart, Coffee with Colleen is about connection: between parents and children, friends and strangers, past and present, grief and healing, and the people we lose but never truly leave behind.

Warm, nostalgic, and deeply personal, this collection is for readers who enjoy meaningful stories about family, friendship, resilience, faith, aging, second chances, and finding beauty in life's ordinary moments.

So grab your favorite mug, find a comfortable chair, and stay awhile.

There's always another story waiting over coffee.
