Coffee and Skin

This collection of poetry runs through the perspective of someone being transformed by the overflowing depression of his partner. The story is tragic, the words are hopefully beautiful and the calloused empathy is real. Follow his feelings as they are given, taken and then torn from his mind.

To me, poetry is rhythmic imagery. It doesn't have to end a certain way, it doesn't need to begin in a specific manner and it doesn't have to mean the same thing to you as it does to me. I do feel as though it needs to be fun, pretty and thought-provoking. Each one of those descriptive words can mean incredibly different things to even very similar people.

This collection is an example of what they mean to me.
