A Hero's Hero

I worked around Col.Dramesi, while I was stationed at Plattsburgh AFB, New York. I was fortunate enough to get an autographed copy of his book when it was first released. He was a living legend at Plattsburgh, and people were truly in awe of him. Thank you, Colonel Dramesi, for serving your country so honorably!

Bravery

I've read the book Code of Honor and found it to be absolutely amazing! Colonel Dramesi is a very brave man who has been through a lot in his life. I have had the opportunity to talk to him and learn of his feelings about the war and being imprisoned. I would recommend his book to anyone who wants to learn more about the Vietnam War and the prison camps in Hanoi.

Exciting book

The book Code of honor is an book fill with adventure, but it is also a piece of history. The descriptive writing of John A. Dramesi is exceptional from the pain and suffering of torture, to the intense rush of escape. The author, John A. Dramesi, brings the feeling home and shows the horrors of war. I for one I do not enjoy reading most books, but this book caught my attention and I actually enjoyed this book, because of it's intense and attention grabbing action. I strongly recommend people to read this book, not only is it interesting, but it's historical to.

Inspiring story of persistence and courage

This is a well-written story of Col. Dramesi's two attempts to escape from a North Vietnamese POW camp, detailing the planning and execution. No other book I've read puts a person inside the mind of a POW as effectively. Col. Dramesi was my reporting official (supervisor's supervisor) at Plattsburgh AFB, NY, and his quiet manner belied the two Air Force Crosses represented in his ribbons, which he earned for these escape attempts. A very interesting man, and a fascinating book.

very good reading

I really enjoyed the book but the man himself was a little on the wacked side having worked for him at pease AFB
