Honest bitter-sweet emotions, challanging ethical issues.

The author takes the reader along on her journey to become a nurse at middle age, and to approach nursing school and the medical profession not young, naive and malleable, but as one who questions every motive and reason. Her views are of one who has tasted life's inconsistencies and found them wanting. She doesn't judge so much as make the reader aware of the dichotomies. Engaging and fascinating reading.
