After losing her father to something in the forest no one could comprehend, Coahoma is determined to grow up quicker in order to feel a sense of security. However she mostly does things before she thinks, like any child. She sneaks with her grandfather on one of his hunts, fully knowing her mother doesn't approve of her going into the woods. Coahoma eventually returns to her frustrated mother, snapping back when she scolds her and running away. Before Coahoma could fully go, her grandfather challenges her to enter the forest to deliver food to her ill grandmother of another tribe. She takes the sack of food and goes in, encountering a mysterious figure in a bush. She introduced herself to it, telling it that she was venturing to drop off food to her sick grandmother, along with pointing out where her grandmother lived. The being appeared friendly towards her, even going as far as advising a pond with magical water that could heal her grandmother. But who exactly is this being? Because they are for sure not human. Should Coahoma trust it?
