Coaching Professionnel: a new healthcare partner

It's undeniable that difficulties in listening and understanding between healthcare professionals and patients are even more exacerbated today than in the past. Patients speak for an average of 23 seconds during a consultation, before being interrupted by the practitioner. Active listening, although recognized by all as an inseparable element of the act of care, cannot be practiced in good conditions. Doctors call on healthcare partners (dieticians, osteopaths, etc.) to help them with specific problems. Patient associations and public authorities are now turning to professional coaching to help them manage their patients. The benefits obtained by professional coaches, in their action to support healthcare professionals, are already recognized and plebiscited̀. There is a definite advantage, given the training and professional skills of certified coaches, in having them accompany patients during their illness, whether somatic or psychological.
