Coaching Profession

Coach, considered by scholars to be a professional/trainer who applies the principles of Coaching. In other words, a person whose purpose is to encourage, motivate and, above all, instruct their client (coachee) in achieving their goals and objectives. The Coach helps through NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) techniques and strategies, hypnosis, neuroscience and/or psychology, and can work in the personal or professional area of their coachee. The general objective of this study was to describe the specificities and perspectives of the coaching profession in the Cariri Metropolitan Region. The specific objectives were To present the historical outline of the coaching profession, highlighting the main market niches; To identify the profile and area of activity of these coaching professionals in Brazil; and To find out how the coaching professional works in the Cariri Metropolitan Region - MRC. A qualitative methodology was used, using the techniques of a bibliographical survey and a structured interview.
