Love it!

Wow! This book delivers it all--fun facts, clever puzzles, and gorgeous photos. My kids love it, and don't even realize they are learning as they work their way through the book. It's a winner!

Clued In About Alaska

Everyone learns differently and this book gives kids an opportunity to have fun while picking up some juicy facts about Alaska--volcanoes in Alaska? How old was the state flag's designer? Butterfly anitfreeze? The georgeous pictures allow the reader to do a little armchair traveling. I bought this book for my niece and nephews knowing that nephew Ben will never solve a puzzle in his life, but will probably know more facts than his sister or brother from reading the text and looking at the pictures; his brother and sister will fight over who gets to do which puzzle, as they both enjoy a challenge and competition. If I were a teacher, I would consider assigning puzzles from this text to teams of students to race to solve and then present their "facts" to the rest of the class. The entertainment value in the book is worth more than the book's price.

Great fun!

I share this book with my godchildren and nieces and nephews whenever they visit, and they all love it. There's so much to this book, you can keep coming back to it and find something new to explore. Pictures, facts, games, puzzles, and humor all make it fun to learn about Alaska!

Finally getting a clue

I bought this book for my 6, 9, and 12 year old boys. They absolutely love it. Each one is finding puzzles appropriate for their age level. They are also having fun learning from the beautiful photos and the interesting information about Alaska. One Sunday I brought the book to church for my six-year-old to do during the sermon. It slid under the pew where a teenager found it and opened it up. The teen was so fascinated by it, we didn't have the heart to ask for the book back until after the service. I highly recommend this book to people of all ages whether they like puzzles or not. It is cleverly written and is good family fun.
