Clouds in Heaven is the story of Eve Call and her journey as a student at Idaho State University. It is also the story of Professor Mark Warner and his challenges as he copes with his mother's reoccurring cancer and his animosity toward his ancestor's religion as pioneers in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Professor Warner becomes Eve's adviser at school and through Eve's first four years at school their unlikely friendship grows. When Professor Warner invites Eve out to dinner she informs him she only dates men who are members of her church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Mark likes her too much to never associate with her socially, but he won't join a church just to date a girl.
