Beautiful things are questioned, yet still beautiful.
A major work, Cloud Journals comprises a narrator that recounts 11 stories completely derived from dreams. Strangely, the dream stories all seem to be the viewpoints of different characters, each one containing vastly disparate, tight plotlines; yet all residing under a common theme of clouds. The vast, surreal-like realm of the dreamland is uncovered progressively, and almost interruptive-like asides from the narrator have a comical and quick-witted influence to them. Throughout the entirety of this dream journal, memorable characters casually converse in fantastical settings, themes about human life and nature constantly interweave together, and dreams themselves happen within dreams, all blended together to make Cloud Journals.
