Patrons enjoy reading this series!

As assistant director of the Mathews Memorial Library, I have made sure the Milford-Haven novels have been entered into our collection and they are now circulating. Patrons have enjoyed reading this series and we look forward to Mara Purl's next installment!

Great reading, compelling serial

As a reporter for the Japan Times in Tokyo (where Mara Purl grew up), I've followed Mara's career for a long time, and have lately mentioned her novels in my column. My only question is...do I have to wait 10 more books to find out what happened to Chris???

Enjoyable, relevant, masterful.

Mara Purl's "Closer Than You Think" was most enjoyable! As a Vietnam veteran, I was particularily interested in the Tony character. And the Doobie Brothers concert scenes were masterful! I was certainly left wondering what is to happen to all these people. Since there will be 10 more books I suppose that a LOT happens to them!

Page turning at its most tantalizing

Mara Purl's "What The Heart Knows" (Book One)annoyed me with how it left me hanging at the end - but all is forgiven because "Closer Than You Think" (Book Two) was so exciting and deep. Now I'm waiting for Book Three!
