Thank you.

A real experience

I found this book in the public library in 1989. I was studying the topic of prayer and immediately found this book to be unlike any other I had come across. The author does not in any way tell one how to pray, or what to pray, or even how prayer works. She successfully describes what it is to simply do the act of praying. It's more about how prayer affects us. The author gives words to the side of prayer rarely discussed. It is the side of man approaching prayer. I was in awe when I read it the first time so long ago now, and I still feel that same awe today. A must read for anyone looking for a deeper understanding of themselves and how they relate to God.

Looking forward to receiving the book.

This is October 20th, and I just had my phone/computer service restored today after Hurricane Katrina (August 29). I am checking my email and found a message from you that you were having trouble locating Clinging by Emilie Griffin. I am still interested in getting the book whenever you can ship it. Thank you so much. Nancy Ratliff

Magnificent!

The most moving book on prayer I've read to date. Griffin touches a cord deep within the heart with this one. If you are looking to deepen your prayer life, read this book!

The best book on the subject

If you can own only one book on the subject of prayer, buy this one! I have read many well-intentioned books on prayer, but this is the only one I return to again and again. Emilie Griffin is a remarkably sensitive and sensible writer. Others write in an esoteric, meandering devotional style about this universal subject. Griffin goes right to the core of the issue in a practical style that embraces reality and truth. I will never part with this book; it is underlined over and over.
