This is a book about a different time, a different reality than almost any one of you experienced growing up. For whatever reason those of us who were teenagers in Japan after the war got to experience things that normal teenagers didn't. This book relates some of the experiences I had but I wasn't alone. We were kids who got to be adults long before we actually were. Were we better for it? I think so. It is a collection of short vignettes. Some are sad, some are poignant, some are funny, and some relate life lessons. I think that you will enjoy this book.
