Postmenopause is described as the time after menopause. This time is extremely critical for women because of various hormonal fluctuations. Mainly, there is a depletion in estrogen and progesterone which can lead to osteoporosis, arthritis, joint pain, muscle aches. To seek the prevalence of such disorders and pain, the nordic pain questionnaire was used. The questionnaire takes into consideration the duration of pain along with the site of pain. Almost 65% of postmenopausal women suffer from musculoskeletal disorders. As most studies are undertaken in urban areas, this study takes place in a rural setting.
