Simply good

My AP chemistry class was behind schedule. I only knew 2/3 of what I need to know three days before the AP exam. I crammed and studied every page of this book (except labs) and took the practice exams in this book for three days and nights straight. The AP exam questions were very similar to ones on this book's practice exam. I ended up with a 4 on the exam. If I had more time to go over the labs section, I'll probably get a 5. This book has a very simple format. Everything on it is what you need to know, no more, no less. I highly recommend this book to people who are busy with life and just don't have the time to prepare for the AP exam one month in advance. If you follow this book all the way through, a 5 will be waiting for you.

Very helpful books to pass the AP

I have been teaching AP Chemistry for 10 years. I started using Mr. Thorpe's book when it came out. I recommend it to all my students. This year I had a 96% pass rate and a large number of A's. I think the book was instrumental in preparing my students for the AP exam. I highly recommend it to any student of Chemistry.

Best Book Out There!!!

This has to be the best AP Chem Prep book available. Problems are worked out where anyone can follow along. Shows you how to write good essays. ALL Labs are covered. Only book that does that. I got a 5 on the exam and it is because of this book!!

A VERY thorough book

This book will teach you just about everything you need to know for the AP Chemistry test. The practice questions after each chapter really drill the concepts into your head. The only problem with this book is that it is so compact it doesn't really go into detail about what it teaches you. It simply shows you what you need to know and quizzes you on it. I used this book in conjunction with Barron's AP Chemistry and ended up getting a "5" on the AP Chemistry test.

This book has a great summary of each class topic, including all terms and concepts required on the exam. Everything is well-organized, and easy to understand. It has examples of each type of question, with explanations, at the end of each section. In addition, a full-length exam is given in the back. Everything anyone taking the Advanced Placement Chemistry exam needs is included. This review is much better than other review books available. This book helped me recieve my "5" in 1998.
